So, I'm having a fabulous chat discussion at the mo' and we were wondering...does the BtVS fandom still have BNFs?  And if so, who are they?

We're just wondering.  Inquiring minds want to know.

*g*

Edited for other inquiring minds:  BNF=Big Name Fan.  Basically, the "big wigs" in the fandom.  I dunno exactly.  Someone else who has a better definition, feel free to chime in.  :D

I think [livejournal.com profile] sueworld2003 (but she's really been one forever) and [livejournal.com profile] shapinglight. It's funny, I once wondered that with my friends when I was new. Perhaps also [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1 since she's really a fantastic beta. [livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip has been producing great story in small ships for a very long time.

I'd have to agree on those!

How are you by the way? I haven't been reading lately because of real life drama, but I've been thinking of you and wondering how the original work is coming! I'm about 1/2 way through mine. I got stuck and am still stuck. *grumbles*

I'm writing although at this point I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with it. I did just see my book cover for Janitor. Hope to be able to post that sometime in future.

:::blushes scarlet:::

I am very flattered that you think I'm that important. I see myself as rather obscure though. The others on your list sure qualify, however!

Hate to break it to you sweetie, but you were the first name that came to mind when the question was asked. *g*

Nope. My chat buddy and I agree...whatever the new name for BNF will be, you will be the example of what they should be! *nods*

I think you are a far better exemplar of a good BNF than I am. You really are.

My list would include folks like you, [livejournal.com profile] vamptastica, [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1, [livejournal.com profile] snowpuppies, [livejournal.com profile] ash_carpenter, and [livejournal.com profile] lit_gal.

We should do the following:

a)come up with a better name that doesn't have negative connotations

b)agree on what qualities makes up said new name

Cause why not? Heh.

And yes, I agree with all of those. I'm with you though, and cringe at the thought of being one myself. Perhaps this is why the fandom is fizzling?

We should...we really should.

And yes. Too many privates and too few generals can mean a very weak army.

*nods*

I think the new acronym should be "BFE"

Best Fan Ever

What do you think? *g*
