“Listen, Linds. You know we’ve talked about this. There’s just some things I just can’t do and putting that, there is one of them.”

 

“You know it would mean a lot to me. I just want us to be closer.”

 

“Well, maybe if it were smaller…I just don’t think it’ll fit.”

 

“Smaller?”

 

“It’s HUGE, Linds!”

 

“No one’s ever complained about size before.”

 

“Yeah, well, you’ve never made them wear your cowboy hat before, have you?”

Angelus stormed down the hospital stairs, furious with himself for not just ripping the annoying boy’s throat out.   That’s what he should have done. It’s what he wanted to do. But his damn demon wouldn’t let him. For some reason it held him back, denied him the sweet taste of that young blood and Angelus was livid.

 

There was something about him though, some tantalizing glimpse of dominance and defiance that made the demon in him howl for more. He would break the boy, but not there in the hospital. No, he’d break him in much more pleasurable ways and then they’d see who was the dominant one. 

 

Angelus walked the night, plotting. He would not be denied.
