My Master loved my new technique. It was an incredible night of pleasure and pain. But I know you aren’t here to read of that. You want to know what happens next, I’m sure. Well, things were about to get rough for Angelus as he returned to Sunnydale and the only childe he wanted in his new family.
Things were not as they seemed on the Hellmouth. Mysterious forces were at work and Angelus was not aware of them. Angelus does not like to be uninformed. He especially doesn’t like it where his family is concerned but he quickly adjusted his plans. My Master is an exceptional strategist.
By the time the bus arrived in Sunnydale, Angelus and his pets were all deeply asleep. The driver hesitated to disturb them, having heard the screams of pleasure and pain. Since the sun was still out, he found a safe place to park them and kept guard over the occupants.
He was the first to notice something amiss. Near dusk, a group of soldiers stormed past the bus and into the nearby cemetery. When the sun began to lower in the sky, he moved to the back of the bus and knocked softly on the bedroom door.
Angelus disentangled himself from his pets and slowly opened the door.
The driver ignored his nudity, used to seeing such sights from his occupants. “Sir, I think you should see this.”
Angelus picked up on the concern in his voice and followed him to the front of the bus. The soldiers were still moving through the cemetery, obviously searching for something. “Get us out of here.”
The driver nodded and moved the bus slowly down the street and away from the soldiers. Angelus returned to the back of the bus and pulled out his clothes. His leather pants fit like a second skin and the silk shirt was a deep red. He checked on Lindsey and Wesley: both were still deeply asleep.
Moving back to the front of the bus, Angelus directed the driver towards the one person in town who always knew what was going on; Willie. The snitch was one of the more annoying residents of Sunnydale but he did have a way of getting information that was useful. Of course, he sold it to anyone who was interested. Angelus would have to make sure he knew the price of talking out of turn about him.
Willie’s Bar was exactly the way Angelus remembered it: too dark, too dank, and too sleazy. But it served its purpose now. Angelus pushed open the door and looked proprietarily around the bar and its occupants. Several demons recognized him immediately and started for the door.
Angelus grabbed the first one and held him high off the ground by his neck. “I was never here.”
The demon he held struggled fruitlessly against Angelus’ hold. All the others nodded in fear before running for the door. Angelus released the demon in his hand and it fell to the ground before scrambling out behind the others.
Scanning the remaining crowd, Angelus’ eyes stopped on a familiar looking Krifgehn demon. With a jerk of his head, he signaled for the demon to approach. Out of the corner of his eyes, Angelus saw Willie starting to move towards the back of the bar. Angelus turned to him and arched a brow, freezing Willie in his tracks.
The Krifgehn arrived at his side. Angelus was familiar with this breed. They were fierce warriors when called on but generally were peaceful. And they had no interest in humans. “Keep your eyes on my coach. Kill anything that approaches it.” The demon nodded, knowing that Angelus knew far too much about his clan to let failure be an option. The vampire’s thirst for blood and vengeance was well documented.
Angelus turned back to the bar and Willie, who started backing away as Angelus moved forward. “Willie, I find myself in need of information.”
The bartender nodded reluctantly and stopped moving.
“Why are there soldiers in town?”
“Oh, Angelus, er, Master Angelus, there’s this big thing going on. Demons are disappearing all over the place, even Sp…er, um, well lots of them anyway. The soldiers are behind it we hear. Doing all sorts of experiments and such is the rumor.”
Angelus had not missed the slip. “Where is my childe?”
“Well, now, Angelus, that’s something you’ll have to talk to the slayer about.”
Angelus was across the bar and had Willie slammed down on top of it before the man could blink. “WHERE IS MY CHILDE?”
Willie gasped for air. “Last I heard he was at the Watcher’s.”
“WHAT IS HE DOING THERE?”
“Oh Angelus, man, don’t shoot the messenger here, but the soldiers got him. He’s in a bad way, man.”
Angelus growled and threw Willie off the bar, where he landed in a pile on the dirty floor. “I was not here, Willie. Do you understand me? One word and I torch this place with you strung up inside it.”
“Yes, Master Angelus. I gotcha. No one will hear nothing from me!”
Angelus was stopped from beating a better promise from the bartender by the sounds of a struggle coming from outside the bar. He turned with a roar and ran for his pets. Soldiers had surrounded the Krifgehn and were trying to contain him. Angelus heard demons following him from the bar but didn’t stop his rush into the fray, killing the first two soldiers he came to by slamming their heads together. He then tossed several more towards the approaching demons, who were more than happy to have a human snack.
The Krifgehn was holding his own against the soldiers surrounding him. It appeared that the two closest were leading the group. They heard the screams of their troops just in time to see Angelus ripping out the throat of one who had raised a weapon in his direction. The demons from the bar rushed forward and from the screams around him, Angelus knew the rest of the soldiers would no longer be a threat.
That left him staring down two soldiers who were not afraid to fight. The Krifgehn, seeing that Angelus had more in mind for these two than a quick death, uncoiled his tentacles and quickly wrapped one around each soldier’s neck. Their eyes bulged as he tightened them, cutting off their air supply.
Angelus nodded his approval. “Don’t kill them.” The Krifgehn waited until the soldiers collapsed before loosening his hold. Angelus knocked calmly on the door of the coach and after identifying himself, the driver opened the door cautiously.
“My pets?”
“Still asleep, sir. I’m sorry I couldn’t get them away. I wasn’t prepared for them to surround us so quickly.”
Although he was tempted to show his fury, Angelus knew that the driver wasn’t equipped to deal with a group of soldiers and had acted to protect his charges as best he could. “Find something to tie up the two outside. I’m going to go check on my pets.”
“Yes, sir.”
The driver hurried out the door and Angelus went to the bedroom to check on his pets for himself. Lindsey was still unconscious but Wesley was awake and wide eyed. Angelus moved to his side and ran a hand over Wesley’s sleep mussed hair. “It’s okay now, Wes. I took care of it. You okay?”
Wesley nodded. “What happened?”
“Apparently, Sunnydale is overrun with soldiers intent on capturing demons. Giles didn’t see fit to inform us of this, did he?”
Wesley shook his head. “I haven’t spoken to Giles in months. He wouldn’t have told me anything anyway, not unless he needed something.”
Angelus nodded, not entirely surprised. “Try to get some rest.”
Wesley lay back down and Angelus left the bus again. The Krifgehn had the soldiers stripped and hog tied with the bungee cords provided by the driver. Angelus checked the bindings, making sure the soldiers couldn’t escape and nodded his approval.
“Toss them in the hold. Don’t bother making them comfortable.” The driver hurriedly obeyed and opened the cargo hold beneath the bus. Fortunately Angelus hadn’t had enough luggage to fill both sides, so this one was empty. The Krifgehn tossed the still unconscious soldiers inside and the driver shut and locked the door.
Angelus turned to the Krifgehn. “I have one more errand to run. Come with us and tell me what you’ve heard about these soldiers.”
The Krifgehn followed Angelus and the driver onto the bus. After giving the driver his next directions, Angelus listened as the Krifgehn detailed the activities of the soldiers from the few demons who’d managed to escape their tender care. Angelus was livid and as they pulled to a stop just down the street from Giles’ apartment, he knew he would make sure they paid if they had harmed one hair on his childe’s head.
Angelus started to leave the bus before looking down and realizing that Giles would immediately recognize that he wasn’t Angel if he showed up in the clothes he was wearing. With a growl, he turned back to the bedroom to find more Angel appropriate attire.
Redressed in dark pants and a dark grey button down shirt, Angelus left the bus again with the Krifgehn again providing guard for his pets. He approached Giles door and schooled his face into the guilt ridden expression he’d felt Angel wear so many times. When he knocked, he was sure that Giles would be fooled long enough to get him inside.
Giles opened the door cautiously, obviously surprised to see Angel. “Giles. I have some information you need to hear.”
Giles nodded. “Of course. Come in.”
That was all it took. Angelus stepped through the threshold and grabbed the Watcher by his neck. “Where is my childe? Never mind, I’ll find him myself.” Angelus dragged Giles along with him as he moved quickly through the apartment. He could sense Spike close by. Flinging open the bathroom door, he was appalled to see Spike chained and laying in the bathtub.
With a growl, he turned on Giles. “You will pay dearly for this.” He slammed Giles head against the wall and the Watcher crumpled to the ground. Then he turned to Spike, eyeing the chains holding him carefully before simply jerking them free, bringing part of the wall with them. Vampire-strength chains were really no match for a full strength, pissed off Angelus. Spike groaned when he was lifted and Angelus shushed him. Spike’s eyes rolled open and widened in fear when he realized who was holding him.
“William.”
“Angelus? What the bloody hell?”
“Feed.”
Spike’s eyes widened as he took in the bared neck before him. He wasn’t one to turn down Sire’s blood under the best of circumstances though so he let his fangs drop and sunk them into Angel’s skin. He swallowed deeply, feeling his weakened body healing with the powerful blood. When he pulled away, he looked up at Angelus questioningly.
“I have come for you. You will not betray me again, childe.”
“Yes, Sire.”
Angelus lowered Spike to the ground and the now loosened chains pooled at his feet. Giles started to stir and Angelus lifted him up, twisting his neck to the side. “Feed, childe.”
Spike trembled and backed away. “I can’t.”
Angelus growled. “I said, FEED.”
Spike sank to the floor. “Sire, I can’t. They did something to me. If I try to hurt anything, my head nearly explodes in pain.”
“And the Watcher chained you and starved you, while you are in this condition and unable to defend yourself?”
Spike nodded slowly.
“And the Slayer? Was she involved in this travesty?”
“Yes, Sire.”
Giles began to struggle against Angelus’ hold and Angelus tightened his grip. “No, Rupert. You aren’t going anywhere. Well, except to see your gypsy whore, perhaps.” With that, Angelus snapped Giles neck and dropped him to the floor.
“Come, childe. I want you to meet my pets.”
Spike paused long enough to grab his boots and duster from Giles’ closet before hurrying after Angelus. “Pets?”
***
And that, my friends, is how my Master saved his damaged childe. I’m sure some of you are shocked by the death of the Watcher, but truly, my Master could do nothing less. If he has taught us anything these past years, it is that he will kill anyone who harms what is his.
Next, Angelus adds more to his Harem and uncovers the secrets of the Initiative. The soldiers never stood a chance against him. He is a very formidable opponent. Now, before I go, I should also warn you that we will soon be meeting up with our Queen. Be warned that there are more dark times ahead.
Adios.

Poor Giles, although he did treat poor Spike badly.

On a giggle note: I left the computooter with your page up yesterday. My daughter (who owns said computooter) saw it. You would have loved the reaction! She knows what I read on the Net but had never seen any of the associated artwork. Lovely! Had a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

I love Giles. I love Giles... and did I mention, I love Giles? And yeah, he treated Spike like crap, but Spike deserved it. Now that that's out of my system... I love this!
Oh, how I loved Lindsey paling to Wes, and the whole thing as told by Jonathon (though it sounds a bit Andrew-ish).
Anyway, it's great, and I'm looking forward to more!

My vote for queen is Tara, but then I think she's got hidden depths. =]

I'm so glad Angelus came for his childe. And I have to say, I don't mind him killing Giles. The Watcher should have treated Spike a hell of a lot better than that since he came to them seeking sanctuary, defenceless and starving.
Looking forward to more of this!

I wonder how Buffy’s going to react when she finds out about Giles (*cries for Giles*) … it’s going to be messy!
Such a wonderful new series! *claps hands* I can’t wait for the update!!!
Angelus grabbed the first one and held him high off the ground by his neck. “I was never here.”
For some reason I find that extremely sexy. I can just picture DB acting this scene. Hotness… and so much power!
*smooches*

Fabulus chapter. Are Riley and Graham the two soldiers tied up. The would add to the hotness of Angelus' pets.
