Spike’s Passions #7
Willow looked back and forth between Spike and Xander. Neither one had made a snarky remark the entire time they’d been at the Magic Box. Not only that, but they were looking everywhere but at each other.
She’d noticed that they were both acting weird. Spike in particular had been out of sorts all week. And if they didn’t have some big monster of the week to deal with, Willow thought she would spend the time to figure out what was going on.
As it was, she had to focus on research.

Willow winced when she sat down on her stool and began working. Tabitha had been particularly intense with last night’s punishment. Willow found herself hoping that her punishment would soon be over. She really wanted to see Spike again.
Her thoughts drifted to the blond as she had last seen him, his hair mussed from where she’d run her fingers through it and his lips red from her kisses. She sighed, wistfully wishing that she could go see him now.
Tabitha looked up when Willow sighed and sent a glare her way. The witch quickly focused her attention again and began working the spell.
Tara looked at the interaction between Tabitha and Willow. It looked like Willow was back in Tabitha’s good graces. From the sounds Tara heard coming from Tabitha’s punishment room the night before, Willow was very much back in with their madam.
She fought down a burst of anger and focused her own energies. There would come an opportunity to get Willow booted. Tara would just have to keep her eyes and ears open. She knew Timmy would be doing the same.

Noah followed Angel as he left Kelly’s Diner and kept his distance. Being the son of the sheriff had its advantages. He was used to being stealthy. He had, after all, been the town’s bad boy for a while and snuck out under his own father’s nose.
Angel went to the Crane’s old place on Crawford Street. Noah didn’t realize that the house was livable anymore. The last time he’d snuck in there it had been a wreck. He’d have to mention it to his dad.
Noah slipped through the opening in the fence that had been there since he was a kid. It was a much tighter squeeze now but he managed to push his way through. He snuck his way across the yard and peered in the window.
Angel was there with an older man and they were having a heated discussion. Noah looked around and noticed that the mansion had been fixed up. It appeared to have been completely renovated. Well, except for the hole in the fence. Noah chuckled at the thought.
Giles stormed from the room and returned a moment later with a struggling young woman. She wrenched her arm from his grasp and glared at him before turning to Angel. Noah winced. She was obviously giving Angel a piece of her mind. And he would not have wanted to be on the receiving end of her wrath.
She was beautiful though. Dark hair and an amazing figure. Noah found himself wondering what she would look like when she smiled. Annoyed with himself for letting his thoughts slip, Noah returned his attention to the occupants of the room.
The woman stepped up to Angel and gave him a hug. Her eyes met Noah’s from the window and he froze, afraid of what she was going to do. She gestured with her eyes for him to leave and he nodded before turning and heading back out through the fence.
He wondered who she was and how he was going to get to see her again. He was sure she would be even more beautiful when she smiled.

Ethan and Xander were still piled up on the guest bed watching tv. Gwen left a few hours before for a planning meeting for the upcoming ball and Buffy left a few minutes before claiming a need for shopping.
Ethan realized it was time for their talk and clicked off the television. Xander turned to him and stilled when he saw the determined look in his friends eyes. “Listen, Xan. You know I love you. And I know that Spike is your choice. But damn it, man, he treats you like dirt. You deserve better.”
Xander clenched Ethan’s hand in his own. “I keep hoping things will get better, you know? I really do love him and I know he loves me. He just doesn’t show it very well. But Ethan, I need the fire that Spike gives me. I wouldn’t be happy with what you and Gwen have.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing. I don’t mean that it’s bad. It’s just, I need passion and fire and heat and you and Gwen are a more quiet kind of love. I wake up every morning and think of Spike. I want him and need him all the time. It’s magical.”
Ethan stared at Xander, realizing that his friend was dead on about his relationship with Gwen. But he still felt the need to defend her. “I love Gwen very much. What we have together is special.”
“I know that Ethan. It is special. You and Gwen are perfect for each other. You needed the perfect woman and you found her in Gwen. She complements you perfectly and knows how to handle all of the social stuff. She’s really good at all that and you need that.”
For some reason, Xander’s explanation was making Ethan feel worse and not better. “Thanks Ethan, for everything. I don’t know what I would do without you and Buffy. But I’d better get home. I’ve left Spike stewing long enough.”
Ethan watched as Xander left and could only hope that his friend was right about Spike. For some reason, Ethan doubted it.

Miguel and Theresa met for a late lunch at Kelly’s. Both were tired from their morning shifts and lack of sleep the night before. Miguel had stayed out entirely too late with Buffy, even though he’d left her still going strong.
Theresa had a late shift at the restaurant and then she’d gone by Ethan’s to try to catch a glimpse of him. She’d seen Xander go in and was relieved to know that Ethan and Gwen weren’t alone together.
Theresa wanted to find some way to put a wrench in their relationship but Gwen was so damn perfect that there wasn’t much she could do. She’d taken to following her adversary whenever she had time off but had never seen Gwen doing anything she shouldn’t be. In fact, the woman was nearly a saint. She visited the elderly, held charity luncheons and was on every committee in town to help the hopeless.
Miguel watched Theresa stew and knew his sister was thinking about Ethan Crane again. “Sis? Don’t you think it’s time you let him go? If it’s meant to be, it’ll happen on its own and without all of your scheming. It’s a miracle Ethan hasn’t caught you yet.”
Theresa glared at him. “How about I make you a deal? You give up on Xander and I’ll give up on Ethan.”
Miguel didn’t know what to say. He didn’t think his feelings for Xander were that obvious. “Oh, come on, Miguel. I’m your sister. I know you better than anyone. And I know that the moment you saw him again you fell right back in love. I could never figure out why you left him in the first place.”
“It was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my life and I regret it every moment.”
Theresa reached over and grasped his hand. “That’s the way I would feel if I gave up on Ethan. I have to try, don’t you see? Even if it’s hopeless, even if Gwen is perfect, I still have to try.”
Miguel nodded. He understood perfectly.

Tabitha stared at her apprentices, about to do something she swore she wouldn’t. She was going to give them some time away. She looked down at Timmy and saw him busily gathering the materials they would need for their spell.
The girls couldn’t be here for this. Tabitha didn’t want them to know what she and Timmy were working on. So she had to get rid of them for a while. She looked at Willow and Tara and gave them a bright smile.
“Well, girls. I’ve decided to be generous. I’m going to give you the night off.” Willow and Tara’s mouths fell open in shock. “Now, don’t look that way. You’ve both been working hard and Willow’s little stunt last week got me to thinking. If you both will promise to be back tomorrow by noon, I’ll agree to give you some time away every week.”
Tara was stunned. Willow was thrilled. “Thank you so much Madam! I promise I won’t make you regret this!”
Tara added her own thanks and the two girls left the room in a hurry. They both had places they wanted to be.
Tabitha turned back to Timmy and smiled. “Well, now that that’s done. Let’s get this spell started. We’ll give Giles reason to regret coming into my town.”

Xander shook Spike’s shoulder to wake him up. The vampire obviously found the research as boring as he did. They left the Magic Box together, no closer to finding answers on the demon.
Xander realized that it was Friday. “Hey, Spike. I’ve got your tape ready but I forgot to bring it. You want to walk with me and you can pick it up?”
“Sure, pet. Been wanting to see what that Theresa bint’s been up to this week. She’s full of mischief that one is.”

Through very little description, you've managed to make Timmy come across as abso-freakin' creepy! *shudder*
What WILL Tara and Willow do with their time off? Hee hee. I'm thinking that might be even more destructive than whatever spell Tabatha's cooking up!

Timmy is very creapy. I'm not writing him a lot because he gives me the heebie jeebies! But I was hoping he came across as creepy!
