Hours later, Angel slid into the shadows, watching his prey. The human’s senses were good. He knew that someone or something was there but he couldn’t find Angel. Not when Angel didn’t want to be found. Angel watched him look around, secure in the knowledge that he could protect himself against the threat, if only he could figure out just where the threat were coming from. He wouldn’t be able to protect himself against Angel.
