Angel was out on patrol with Xander of all people. Filling in for Buffy, she was off on holiday. They were walking on just outside of town, near the park. They had come across a really odd demon, and had been fighting it for a while when Angel screamed for Xander to duck.

With a roar he swung his axe and chopped the demons head off. Instead of falling down dead, the demon ran around like a headless chicken for a while, showering them both in stinking hot slime. Angel could hear Xander's heart racing, and smell his fear. He stopped running for a second to pick Xander up and throw him over his shoulder. He could run faster if he carried Xander. "Hold on to me," he instructed as he flung their weapons in a hedge and broke into a much faster run.

That was great. Throwing Angelus into the mix at the end was great. You guys did a great job. The way you write you always leave a story open ended for either a sequel or another chapter. I love your writing.

Hokay, I wasn't sure where this one was going, and was definitely surprised by the ending. Maybe I should have read the disclosures a little more carefully at the beginning. ;-D
