This is such an interesting twist. I love that Spike is respectful to his sire in front of the minions - kind of leading by example, I guess. I am intrigued to see him behaving the same way when they're in private. I like it, I think. Clearly Angel regards him as something of an equal because he allows Spike to rescue Xander. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
