TrustFlow II: Who is closest to your friends
list?
So, it's a lovely Saturday and I'm just sitting here chatting and writing some dirty bad wrong....when suddenly...the laptop goes wonky.
Being the computer genius that I am, I say "brb" and shut down. Thinking *surely* that's all it needs. HA HA. The joke was on me. My hard drive crashed. I lost everything.
But then....a light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday, I purchased one of those handy dandy external hard drive thingys. And guess what??? I had been a smart nene and clicked the little automatic backup box. After having to completely erase my hard drive and start all over again (and can I just say that there have been a zillion updates from microsoft since I got this laptop), I was finally able to access the external hard drive. And all my fics were there....sigh....9 chapters of Passions saved by an automatic backup....
The lesson here? Backup your files. Please. Learn what I almost learned the hard way. Thank goodness I bought the handy dandy hard drive yesterday. Someone was looking out for the slashy goodness. I'm guessing it was purps, ash, or ladyv.
